Join us as soon as possible at our Drackenstein site (Göppingen district) as an EXCAVATION SPECIALIST
Since summer 2025, we have been carrying out pre-construction work at Drackenstein on behalf of Autobahn GmbH. In the process, we have already uncovered a large number of settlement remains from various periods.
Here’s what it’s all about:
- Carrying out all standard field archaeological tasks (professional excavation, recovery and handling of various finds, preparing surfaces, strata and profiles for documentation)
- Assisting the excavation manager with excavation documentation (surveying, etc.)
- Operating and maintaining a mini-excavator
- Various indoor duties, including during poor weather conditions
A basic level of physical fitness and good health are therefore essential. We work even in poor weather!
Your strengths:
- Experience in and an interest in archaeological fieldwork
- Flexible, resilient and a team player through and through
- Good command of german or english; archaeologists and anyone interested from across the EU are very welcome!
